Natural-looking restorations are effortlessly created with the different levels of translucency offered by IPS Empress Direct. The shade system logically follows the anatomical build-up of the tooth:
- 13 opaque dentin materials are available for producing dentin and mamelon areas and placing cervical fillings in older patients
- 16 translucent enamel shades are designed for replacing dental enamel
- 3 highly translucent materials add individual characteristics to incisal edges
Convenient handling for discerning requirements
Due to its optimized handling properties, the material is easy to shape as required:
- Cavifil contents are easy to extrude
- Material does not stick to the instruments
- Excellent adaptation of the material to the cavity walls

Compositions
- The monomer matrix is composed of dimethacrylates (20-21.5 wt%, opalescent shade 17 wt%).
- The fillers contain barium glass, ytterbium trifluoride, mixed oxide, silicon dioxide and copolymer (77.5-79 wt%, opalescent shade 83 wt%).
- Additional contents: additives, initiators, stabilizers and pigments (<1.0 wt%).
- The total content of inorganic fillers is 75-79 wt% or 52-59 vol% (opalescent shade 60.5 wt% or 45 vol%).
- Depicts various shades & translucency levels of Empress system
- Shade tabs are made with high quality ceramic
- Provides long term stability for consistent shade match
- Available for dentin and enamel
Storage
–Storage temperature 2-28 °C / 36-82 °F.
–Close syringes/Cavifils immediately after use. Exposure to light causes premature polymerization.
–Do not use IPS Empress Direct and IPS Empress Direct Effect after the indicated date of expiration.
